Maharashtra Chief Minister ‘Devendra Fadnavis’ inaugurated the
17th Mumbai Film Festival which will continue till 5th
Nov and showcase the Best of Indian Cinema to the movie lovers, the location
chosen for the opening ceremony was the Historically aesthetic ‘Gateway of
India’ with several A-listers from the Film fraternity contributing to it.

Mr. Fadnavis congratulated the team for organizing the event
and also applauded Bollywood for being a source of employment to the 1.4
million people. Apart from the Bollywood actors,Mukesh and Nita Ambani were
also present as Reliance’s JIO which is the digital arm of the Indian
Conglomerate business house is one of the major Sponsors.
Israeli Film-maker ‘Amos Gitai’ received an award for
International Excellence in Cinema while ‘Salim Khan’ and ‘Javed Akhtar’ received
the same award in the Indian Cinema.
Its good that the Mumbai Film Festival has been revived to
its old glory and we hope that it continues to bring the Indian film fraternity
together and also expand the reach of Indian cinema to the International
horizons.
