Moving on to one of the new release of M&M is Mahindra KUV 100 which was earlier reported to be code-named as Mahindra S101 which was fixed and planned to released as SUV 100 in the Indian market. The sub-compact SUV, Mahindra KUV 100 falls in the category of compact size hatchback cars like Maruti Suzuki swift, Hyundai grand i20 and many more. Unlike TUV 300, Quanto and many other utility vehicles segment, Mahindra KUV 100 seems to be way more different. According to the sources revealed, the car designers had said that over 1000 units of the car have already been manufactured. The all new Mahindra KUV 100 was announced to be launched on 15th of January 2016. Mahindra KUV 100 will have Varun Dhawan as its brand ambassador.

In terms of the exterior design, Mahindra KUV 100 more or less resembles to that of Mahindra XUV500 design. Apart from this, the sub-compact SUV features a well textured tall bonnet with stylish curved roof towards the back side making it more compact followed by newly designed bumpers with well textured double grills at bottom makes it appears more powerful and extravagant. The ground clearance of mini SUV seems to perform well despite the low measures alloy wheels of around 14 to 15 inches in diameter. Overall the exterior at some moments gives you the feel of Range Rover Evoque in terms of appearance.

Moving on to the interior designs of this cool utility vehicle, Mahindra KUV 100 features the top-end variant with the 6-seat layout. The most surprising feature of the Mahindra KUV 100 is that the five-speed manual transmission gear lever has been placed on the contrast colored dashboard while the pulling handbrake is placed right below the center console. The AC vent controls is vertically positioned on the left of the gear lever to make it more compact in appearance. Unlike Datsun GO, Connected front seats are designed for front passenger seat extension in order to make it more spacious which seems to be comfortable even for tall people, next to it is the middle compartment with three proper seats designed in split backrest manner.

The Mahindra KUV 100 would come with two types of turbocharged aluminium body engines, 1.2 L mFALCON G80 3-cylinder petrol engine which can give around 82bhp of power at 5500rpm followed by 1.5 –litre 3-cyclinder diesel engine which develops 77bhp of power at 3725rpm. In addition to this; infotainment system, AMT, ABS, airbags and numerous other features would be included.

Talking about the price of sub-compact SUV was expected to revolve around 5 - 7.50 lakhs INR which is still to be confirmed officially. Overall, it seems like the KUV will manage to attract the Indian customers to a great extent.
