“Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world,” said the late Nelson Mandela. What is the role of us the countrymen to develop a new generation of empowered leaders? Obviously the root lies at the education level that one receives. But unfortunately today’s education management system focuses more on the theoretical learning rather than implementing it practically. The knowledge is not received only through the books, but to learn or imbibe moral values the youth have to be exposed to the outside world so as to learn or imbibe moral values. Moral values are very necessary for today’s world. It is these moral values that can keep the country growing.
The lack of moral education in schools today can later on pose a great threat to the future of the country. The youth of today lack leadership skills and it is these skills that a company is looking for to hire employees. To increase the number of entrepreneurs within the country, entrepreneurial education is to be provided from the very beginning. Education can lead to student being innovative leaders. The students must be taught to take risks and accept challenges and face the world. However if they fail they must accept it with joy and strive towards it with more dedication.
Discipline is also an important factor but this cannot be taught though books, one need to practice it and inculcate it within themselves. Innovation, problem-solving, inventions are all interrelated and widely depend upon the level of education that one receives. Students should be given various opportunities to experience the thrill of success and failure. Our education system focuses towards success and its main motive is to achieve higher and higher. But no one speaks of failure; it is very well known to us that failure is the stepping stone to success. In this era of widespread democracy and digitized world people are more connected with each other. They are very well aware of the outside world. The hidden talents of the students need to be harnessed to develop a bright future for a country like India.
