The Age of Understatement - Denim must have for Summers

Whether dark-washed out jeans or cut-off, cropped or acid washed, ripped or flared- DENIM never goes out of style, never has, never will. This versatile quality of the fabric has made it a symbol of commonness amongst the masses. It doesn’t matter if you’re Anna Wintour or just a farm boy working in a torn up town, denim is accessible and worn all around the world. Denim is comfortable, easy to wash and robust.

It is seen in herds on college campuses, styled in advertisements and scrutinized strutting down designer fashion lines. Denim is possibly the most versatile material.

All blue or all black, denim fits every occasion. Whether it’s a casual date or the front row of a high-end fashion runway, denim makes a crisp appearance everywhere.

Celebrities like Alexa Chung- the British ‘it girl’ and the Bold, Rosie Huntington Whitely swear by denim for all occasions.

Here are a few Wardrobe must have’s for the summers.

Alexa Chung in a denim dress. You can buy this dress for dirt prices from Tokyo Talkies.

Patchwork is edgy and daring, don’t hold yourself back.

Add a touch of class with oversized glares and nude pumps.

This is probably my favourite looks for the summer.

Front knots are chic and paired with ballet flats, they look effortless.

Ripped jeans and a collared denim shirt paired with ornate jewellery make the outfit instantly classy.

This look gives off the laid back vibes.

Flared pants are retro and very quirky.

Long denim dresses paired with coloured accessories give an instant POP to the whole outfit.

“Sorority girls, garage bands, gym junkies and businessmen all have at least one common item in their closets. Odds are, you’re probably wearing them right now.”

Till the next post, Happy Styling!!!
