Here’s how one could probably simplify his/her life

Simplicity brings balance, freedom, and joy. When we begin to live and experience these benefits, we begin to ask the next question, “Where else in my life can I remove distractions and simply focus on the essential?” Well, here are some points you could pick for yourself so as to get your life back on the track if you ever feel you are not-so-happy with the things going on around you and if that upsets you read the following, Identify what’s important to you and ignore the rest.

Keep yourself  as far away possible from the Social Media

I don’t say do not use them, of course, you can. But spending half of your life being online is such a waste of time. Because eventually, we get so involved in it that we can’t even stop checking the updates every now and then. Dayum, that’s annoying!!

Change your WhatsApp’s ‘last seen’ to ‘nobody

We often have that habit of checking on someone’s last seen. And all we could do is except a least possible message from the same someone. I mean hello! You have got an option to type a message and ‘send’ it to the respective person. If you feel it’s required, then just go ahead and do it rather than stalking, just to see if he/she is online. Relatable, eh? We know right! *wink wink*

Overthinking! It actually kills your happiness

Overthinking is such a pain, it’s an art of creating a problem that wasn’t even there in the first place. I mean I know most of us tend to think way too much about the little things that don’t even matter at a certain point of time. Instead, spend the time to think about how better you could perform at work or on your goals. Analyse to get a ‘solution’ out of it rather than ‘confusions’ out of it. Overthinking is just not right for you as it makes things much more complicated.

Avoid ‘attachments

What’s attachment? Attachment is a need for someone to fill a void in your life or in your self-esteem.

Do not get too attached to someone, because eventually attachments lead to expectations and when those are not fulfilled then bang! they lead to disappointments, so it’s said that expectations always hurts! That again doesn’t mean people are bad, it’s just the attachment. All of your sufferings start with attachment because at the end nothing is permanent. Things change and so do people.

Procrastination! That’s the thief of your time

If you want to do something, do it now. There’s no tomorrow. Waiting for the right time has never been a right choice. Go ahead and make a choice, for you do not always have to wait for the opportunity to knock at your doorsteps, ain’t happening.

Thus stop running away and stop making excuses and start focusing on how to make the thing happen today. The day you spend procrastinating is just another day you spend worrying about the undone thing. Thus, do it right away and move on with your life.

Stop regretting over your past

You know the moment. It happens right after you realize that you did something you wish you didn’t have done. Maybe you broke someone’s trust and now the guilt is overwhelming you. Or maybe you compromised on your job in some way and now you are terrified that your world will come crashing down. Regardless of what you did, you can feel your anxiety as though a stack of red hot bowling balls is been surgically implanted in your stomach.

Do not brood over the past mistakes and failure as that will only fill up your mind with grief, regret, and depression. Make sure you do not repeat them in the future. Having some regrets isn’t bad as they make you strive for better. Sometimes losing one thing opens you up to something else. It might be a lesson that helps you be more effective and happier in the future, or it could be a new possibility you never even thought to seek.

Your past has passed and your present is your second opportunity, go grab it now!

Enjoy your own company

Spending time with friends and family is always good, but spending time with yourself is sometimes even better. Just you, your thoughts, whatever things you want to do with no obligations, no other’s opinions involved or plans and no pressure from anyone. It is not only relaxing, but it is also proven that alone-time is good for you. Since you are always with yourself, so you might as well enjoy the company. To love others, you must learn to love yourself. Because there’s nothing more freeing and empowering than learning to like your own company.
