Quick Tips: Men's Fashion at an Indian Wedding

Season of big fat Indian weddings is coming up very shortly. This five-day long celebration always brings one huge chaos and confusion with them in a form of “What To Wear”.

For women, they still manage to overcome with this situation but it’s difficult for men’s. Till the last date, before functions are about to start, they are not ready with their party attires. If you are groom then you have at least some idea what you are going to wear on your very special day either ‘Sherwani or a Suit’. And if you are grooms best friend or brother then you don’t have a single clue as what you are going to wear. This suspicion increases when Indian mothers make you think; ‘Many will have an eye on you son as the next prospective groom’ so get ready in style.

Break all the ice of confusions with these 4 types of latest wedding trends and look hot and fashionable this season and make others go speechless. Sherwani, Bandhgala, Dhoti-salwar; Kurta with Nehru jacket and Tuxedo are trending now; opt any from these on-going modes.

#1. SHERWANI

One of the best Indian traditional outfits not just for grooms but also for the other men attending a function. A long coat buttoned up to the collar and lengthwise it is usually below the knee adds a charisma to the men’s personality. If you are all about being attitude, go for a Golden and Red Sherwani as it is the easiest pick and a perfect idea if you are short on time.

A combo of Gold and Red, when merged with a black or dark coloured Patiala salwar, will pop up your personal style in an extraordinary way. Garnish your dress with multi-layered necklaces or with the contrasting stole.

Make sure to wear Kohlapuri chappals or any other jutti. And if still in doubt there is no harm in wearing a formal Sherwani with leather fabric churidar Pyjamas with a brooch right on the front to flaunt your peppery appearance.

#2. BANDHGALA

Another good option is Bandhgala. This outfit is elegant in its own way. These are generally of silk or any other suiting material which is lined at the collar and generally have an embroidered buttons.

Blue & Black, beige with breech colour bandhgalas are a crafty substitute to the traditional costume whether it is your brother or best friend wedding. There are many exclusive shades of Bandhgala are available like orange, red, shades of grey etc.

There is also a trend to wear a contrasting trouser to match the coat colour but you can mingle it with chinos or with Patiala’s. Don’t forget to add a chain brooch and stylish footwear to look outstanding and tempting.

#3. Dhoti, Salwar Kurta with Nehru jacket

To look modish in your brother or best friend wedding match your Kurta-pyjama/dhoti along with the new coolest Nehru jackets and add a crumb of pocket square to give your dress a look of Indo-western style.

Nehru jackets are generally hip-length tailored coats with a mandarin collar. Jade blue, black, Cream, Wine red colour jackets are available and are bustling hot, so pick any of these colours and present yourself in an absolute sizzling way.

To embellish more add mojaris with your outfit.

#4. TUXEDO

Men’s all-time favourite which doesn’t have any proxy. Nothing can compliment you better than a well- tailored suit.

A frosty white shirt along with a black/grey suit is simple and typical.

You can also wear a three-piece suit along with a slim tie or a bow tie and for a complete look wear formal shoes that suits your persona.
