5 Ways to Have a Good Oral Health

Teeth are an important part of our body. Just because no one is going to look into our mouth (not everyone and not at all the time, at least) doesn’t mean we shouldn’t provide them proper health care. Our teeth need daily care as it is an element that is essential for overall hygiene. It is imperative that one must have good oral health. No one even likes to kiss a dirty mouth, Trust me! Dental health has become the priority over the years as people understood the importance of it on our health.

#1. Brushing and Flossing

Obviously, brushing is the most important and the easiest way to achieve good oral health. We have been taught and reminded to brush since our childhood days. But not once, twice a day, without missing. Flossing is not a part of our daily mouth cleaning regime but it helps in extracting the minute particles that can’t be located by brush.

#2. Right Toothbrush

It is the extension of first part. You need a brush which has soft bristles as you are not going for a fight with your gums. And do not over work it. It usually takes around three months for your brush to be a non-usable. Actually, change the first sign of the bristles getting all bendy.

#3. Say No to Soda and Sugar

Well, fizz is fun but it is really bad for your teeth which is the very reason your teeth doesn’t like soda. And in the similar way sugar is the death of your teeth. Sugar causes tooth decay. Both of these products eat away the enamel of your teeth along with the gums. So, switch to better options such as water, try out little or sugar substitutes in your coffee and tea and save the life of your teeth.

#4. Quit Smoking

Cigarettes are full of nicotine and tar that wipes out your gums and leaves back bacteria and plaque on your teeth that will just eat them away. The worst thing is you can even get oral cancer from smoking. It isn’t like the look of your teeth remains intact; it gets an ugly shade of yellow that’s just disgusting. So, you better pack it in!

#5. Natural Remedies

The best way to keep your teeth healthy and in pristine condition is to eat healthy. Vitamin C which are in abundant in fruits and vegetables, provide you healthy gums and prevent mouth ulcers. Green tea along with apples helps immensely in fighting the bacteria in your mouth and providing a fresh breath.

So, these are the ways through which you can have a good oral health and flaunt those whiter teeth.
