The consumer durable major LG Electronics India completed its 20 years of operations in India. But what differentiated the celebration of this accomplished journey is the way in which LG India gave a smile on the face of our brave soldiers. The celebrations were started with the #KarSalaam initiative before the Republic Day. The whole nation was invited to come forward and send their wishes to the Indian Armed Forces.
The #KarSalaam initiative being initiated by LG whose corporate philosophy is 'Life's Good', aimed to salute the soldiers serving our nation and express a gesture of support and solidarity to the soldiers because of whom we lead a fearless and good life in this country. The campaign extensively used all the possible platforms including radio, digital, outdoor, malls and social media to collect the wishes of people and send them to the soldiers. It also motivated people to share their views on http://www.karsalaam.in/ where more than 2 lakh wishes were collected both online as well as offline.
Extending the campaign forward and support it further, Kim Ki Wan, MD of LG India, handed over a cheque of Rs 1 Crore to the Home Minister Rajnath Singh for the CRPF welfare fund.
Speaking on this auspicious occasion, Kim Ki Wan said,"LG salutes the spirit of the Indian soldiers, who courageously give up their lives to protect the country. Therefore, we took this initiative to bring together the citizens of India to express their gratitude to our soldiers. With an aim to connect with the hearts of the entire nation and to pour out messages for these brave hearts, LG goes beyond boundaries to reach out to every citizen and invite them to express their gratitude for our army, who selflessly volunteers to serve our nation all day and night."
Talking about the tremendous success of this campaign and the massive response it got from the people of India, Amit Gujral, Head of Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics India, said,
"We salute the spirit of our soldiers. We would like to thank people for their overwhelming response. This truly shows the spirit of India towards our armed forces. Taking this forward, we would be claiming a Guinness record for maximum wishes collected offline."
Overwhelmed by this unique initiative, Rajnath Singh said,"We welcome LG Electronics' gesture of showing solidarity to the Indian armed forces.
This is a very special gesture by a corporate organization. Today, the entire nation is proud of its armed forces, and the response to this initiative in the form of collecting good wishes for soldiers is an indication for the same.
I would like to thank the people of India for extending their support to the armed forces."
