“Understanding your mind is unlocking a path to relief”

We are living in a technologically driven world. Living a happy and stress-free life in today’s world is one of the most challenging things. Every day we prepare ourselves to tackle upcoming obstacles in the best possible way and once we sort out one problem, another challenge comes on our way. This is why our forefathers used to say that life is full of challenges, and life is a series of success from beginning till the end.

SMOKING - Choking Yourself to DEATH !!!

“A cigarette is a pinch of tobacco rolled in a paper, with a fire on one end and a fool on the other!”

- George Bernard Shaw

Putting that thing in your mouth and puffing it in and out, you might find it glorious and of course pleasurable. But how hilarious it is, that You’re going against the nature of dying naturally!

Knowing it’s going to kill you, yet continuing with your practice is what we call, ‘making a complete fool of yourself!’ You know it has the power to choke you, to make you die a painful death, yet again, you’re holding it in your hand to get away from your daily stress, problems, and stuff, as if it will really help?

Three words, only three, to describe your self-harming act, -I PITY YOU!

Are you trying to get away from your life problems? Well, you’re certainly doing a great job getting away with it, just by, DYING!

Hundreds and thousands of commercials, articles, public speaking programs, etc. all go on deaf ears! In fact, the plea of your family or your loved ones have no effect on you, what-so-ever!

The coughs, colds, wheezing and asthma are just the beginning, if you talk about the diseases that you’re DEFINITELY going to acquire! Smoking can cause fatal diseases such as pneumonia, emphysema, cancer of the lungs, mouth, nose, throat, oesophagus, pancreas, kidney, liver, bladder, bowel, ovary, cervix, bone marrow, and stomach.

Smoking causes 84% of deaths from lung cancer and 83% of deaths from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

I know a few of the people consume it just for fun and to show, don’t know to whom that they are grown up, exactly I’m talking about the teens. Trust me, nobody will accolade you for this major step if you take. It will be all regrets at the end.

CREATING AWARENESS and GUIDING YOU GUYS WAS MY CHOICE and MOTIVE.
CHOOSING TO STOP SMOKING and START LIVING IS YOURS!

I HOPE THESE POETIC LINES WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE !!

“SMOKING WHILE LIVING, CHOKING WHILE DYING.”

WAS HAPPY AS ONE COULD BE,
LIVING, LAUGHING AND EARNING, YOU SEE.
THEN, CAME THE TIME WHEN I WAS DEPRESSED,
LOOSING FAMILY, LOVE, MONEY, AND EVERYTHING ELSE.
I THOUGHT, AT SOME TIME EVERYBODY NEEDS AN ADDICTION,
MY LIFE TURNED INTO A SAD-TRAGIC FICTION,
I STARTED SMOKING LIKE THERE’S NO TOMORROW,
I PREFERRED CHOKING BY CIGARETTE THAN SORROW,
HAD I HOLDED ON TO HARDWORK,
HAD I SAT AND DISCUSSED THE PROBLEMS,
I WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN DYING,
I WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN CRYING!
I SHOULD HAVE LIVED RATHER THAN SMOKED,

‘CAUSE NOW IT’S MY LIFE THAT’S BEEN ROBBED!

Dealing with Cancer

The highest cancer rate has been found of 338 people per 100,000 being diagnosed in 2012, Denmark. Europe, Oceania, Northern America, and Asia  have a high rate of cancer in the world. Cells are the building block of body's development, but this cells sometimes have a dark side. The old cells die and the new cells grow, this is the process of life. But when these old cells don't die when they have to and the new cell develops, this generates a trouble. And this trouble arises in the form of tumor.
This tumor can be benign or malignant. Benign tumor are not much dangerous because they cannot invade or spread to other parts of the body but can have killing effect if this tumor comes to your brain. While, malignant is more  dangerous because it spreads speedily and disrupts other parts of the body and is named as Cancer. There are hundred different types of cancer and one of the most common ones being Breast Cancer which occurs in women. Breast Cancer is due to the lump in the breast, bloody discharge from the nipple and change in shape/color complexion of the breast.

Also, one of the most diagnosed  Cancer in Men is Prostate Cancer. It generally occurs in the prostate gland of men and it may cause when there is difficulty in urine secretion. Also, the third common type of cancer is Basal Cell Cancer, it is a type of skin cancer at the basal cell. The symptoms can be a white waxy lump or brown scaly patch on the face or neck.
So here are some ways to deal with Cancer:

Learn As Much As You Can : Having knowledge about your disease from which you are dealing day and night is the best of better. Read as much as you can and then you will know the best way to cure your disease.

Exercise Regularly : Exercising regularly or performing ‘Pranayama'  may heal your disease faster that only medicine can't. Yoga, meditation, exercise plays an important role in dealing with not even cancer but even the smallest of diseases also. It helps in developing the new cells and increase RBC's. It even works to improve our immune system. Exercise should be performed daily.

•Express What You Feel : Expressing yourself makes you feel light-hearted. Express that what you facing for the disease, this lets the doctor treat you or know deeply about your disease. Don't  hide anything or don't feel ashamed of anything, because it's body, it needs medicine to heal again, the body doesn't  know that you are feeling ashamed to express.

Work Out On What You Can : Medicine, doctor, yoga work on their own place but it cures best if you cure yourself because no one can cure you better then you cure yourself on your own. Feel obsessed to be fine again and passionate yourself to get well soon.

Will To Live Long And Fight against the Disease : If you are not willing to live your life, you will never get rid of cancer. You just need to believe in your fate to live the long life and avoid depression or worries as much as you can. Surround yourself with positivity.

Regular Checkup And Regular Meals : Take medicines from  time to time. Let the  doctor check you regularly as it needs. And be careful about your meal, never cut it down.

Stop The Mental Health Stigma!

Somehow, one of the most ridiculous outcomes of evolution is how the society determines how ‘normal’ our actions are.

People fallen victim to mental illness (or as extremely pseudo-intelligent people like to call them, “psychos”) have also fallen victim to a lot of prejudice from the ignorant people on account of the normalcy scale. Here are some of the most common and ridiculous things I’ve heard about those suffering from mental illness.

1. “Mental diseases are contagious.”
Yeah, they sure are contagious. Because mental diseases are as simple as a cough and cold you get every time the climate is changed. You can’t be contaminated by being kind and asking how they’re doing. They aren’t caused by a personal weakness- it is caused by the person’s environmental and psychosocial conditions.

2. “It is all in their head.”
Of course, it is in their heads. Where do you think the brain is? Below the ribcage? The brain is where their memory is stored, their thoughts run. So yes, it is in their heads and it is very real. You won’t ask a person suffering from cancer to get over it. They cannot pull themselves out of mental illnesses. It is not caused by personal weakness.

3. “There are fewer people suffering from mental illnesses.”
It is a common myth that all pseudo-intellectuals suffer from: that only a few people suffer from mental diseases. The fact is that one in four people suffer from mental illness throughout the world. Mental issues eat up lives on the same pace as cancer and other fatal diseases. We choose to ignore those with mental illness and sweep their issues under the rug. Everyone and anyone of all ages can go through this.

4. “Their family would be so ashamed of them.”
The only thing anyone should be ashamed of should be accepting the mental health stigma everyone seems to be following. Would you be ashamed of your father if he had a heart condition? Same way, you shouldn’t be ashamed of your son if he has Down syndrome.

5. “They’re a bunch of violent people. They should be locked away”
Most people struggle with anxiety or depression. They don’t harm others more than they harm themselves. Their thoughts negatively affect their lives even though you think their lives are normal.

What people want is to be treated normal and how we treat them is far from normal. Instead of consulting a proper psychologist, people here believe voodoo and mantras by the all-rounder baba's can solve it. Most people also think that people having mental health issues never get better, but they do. With proper treatment and support from their loved ones, they do get better.

What if we treated all illness like mental illness?
“I’m getting really tired of that cancer of yours.”
“It’s just jaundice, snap out of it.”

Isn’t it insane how we draw a line between ourselves and the people victimized by mental health issues? This society is changing and I think our thoughts towards people suffering in silence because of the judgmental society should also change.

"Label things, not people. Judge competitions, not an illness you can’t see".
