It was probably the first time after that incident when children finally got some smiles on their faces and brought a much needed respite to the children forgetting the traumatic incident which left them homeless.

It was indeed the first time that these students visited a slum and saw in real the hardships faced by the children but this experience would certainly give them a satisfaction for a life time. Santa gifts comprised of toothbrushes, soaps, lunchboxes, pens, pencils and other such items which would bring usefulness and happiness for the little ones.

Celebrating Christmas and getting gifts by Santa is a common phenomenon in convent and established schools but these might be the first time for these underprivileged children and that also at a time when it matters the most.

At such times of tragedy, it is very common for political parties to play the blame or escape games but these act of generosity by these students certainly leaves a way ahead for others to follow.
