Recently, the Samajwadi Party was in a lot of news with speculations of a rift between UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Yadav. He clarified that there may be disagreements in the family. But all those issues would be resolved under the leadership of Mulayam Singh Yadav. When it was alleged that the internal problems are arising due to him. He simply replied that the problems may be due to the position of Chief Minister that he holds and not because of him.

When asked about the certain courageous decisions that were taken by him recently regarding the re-shuffling of the portfolios. His reply was that usually, only young leaders can take bold decisions.

When asked certain questions on how the development can co-exist with the politics, he stated that although politics is bound to come in the course of development, his party's main agenda lies on development.

When he was told that the law and order in UP are not favorable, then he raised the question that if this was the case, then there would have been no recent investments from companies like HCL, Infosys, and the massive infrastructure projects.
