"We Are Listening to Each One of You" Says Akhilesh Government by Inaugurating Mega Call Centre in the State

On 27th September 2016 Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated a 300 seater Mega Call Centre at Indira Nagar in Lucknow. This call centre in the initial phase would be responsible for gathering feedback from the beneficiaries of 20 government welfare schemes of 13 different departments of the state government.

The feedback from the people would relate to the various schemes that have been launched by the Samajwadi Party government. This call centre would work for the Chief Minister’s Office. The feedback and the experiences of the people would be directly received and based on these feedback the schemes would be improved and made more effective.

UP CM Akhilesh Yadav addressed a gathering stating that he and his government believed in complete transparency and would like to empower people through technology. The government needs an honest feedback from the people so that the necessary changes can be made in the schemes and determines the correct course of action. With the help of these feedback, the government would like to know that whether the benefits of the schemes are reaching the public or not. The population that has been targeted by these schemes must surely be benefitted else the efforts of the government would be in vain.

On the occasion, UP CM Akhilesh Yadav mentioned that "the reliable feedback from the beneficiaries would help the government make modifications for transparency and quality, and maintain the standards that are demanded by the public according to the various schemes." These kinds of endeavors would help the government reach more and more people. Through this effort, many people would also come to know about the governmental schemes and would increase awareness among the people. Since the youth are the future citizens of our country, it is the responsibility of the present government to guide the youth in the correct path.

Recently UP CM Akhilesh Yadav also mentioned that "the government has launched a scheme for the poor people who are suffering from diseases like cancer. After its launch, feedback was sought from the people and it was found that 90% of the beneficiaries were happy with this scheme and appreciated the government’s efforts". This scheme has helped in meeting the treatment cost for various diseases. The reason for initiating this scheme is to curb graft in the government schemes. Based on the feedback the changes made in the schemes would be the best according to the interests of the people.

To make this a success it is very important that the capacity of the call centre must be increased in order to receive a higher number of feedback from the people. It has also been mentioned that many heartening feedback have been received based on the Samajwadi Pension Scheme. Feedback on solar pump run tube well, free laptop distribution, free smartphone distribution was very encouraging.

The call centre has been set up by the Uttar Pradesh IT & Electronics Department. It has a seating capacity of 300 and is expecting to increase the number of seats to 500 in near future. It would work with UP Development Systems Corporation Limited (UPDESCO) as its nodal agency. The Chief Minister also had an interaction with 35 such youngsters who have been beneficiaries of various government schemes. This helped UP CM Akhilesh Yadav get firsthand information on their experience.

With the help of the Mega Call Centre, there are various kinds of schemes on which feedback would be taken and that includes social welfare, health, education, animal husbandry, agriculture, rural and urban development, power, labour etc. Thus with the help of technology the government would also put a check on the rise of corruption. On an overall basis it would bring an all round development in the various schemes as well as propose methods of modifications and improvements.
