Things To Consider Before And After Getting A Tattoo

How to select a Tattoo?

Getting the tattoo is a brave step as it will stay with you forever, as all saythink twice before getting inked because once you get it then you can’t do anything! (Except laser removal which costs double the amount of the tattoo depending on the size and the pain through which you have to go). Think of things which you can live with for your life, things which you get inspiration or which motivates you. Things which you admire or respect, have some meaning to you and your life.

Where to get them?

Firstly, you have to look at these things in the shop:
  • Cleanliness.
  • Machines with proper insulations.
  • Tattooist with good hands in art.
  • Proper online platform.
First you have to look the shop where you want to get the tattoo, which you can do by online searches ask anyone who has a tattoo. By online searches you can get there websites with all the details like what kinds of tattoos they do and about the background of all the artists who work there along with their works.

Then thing is to take an appointment so that you can talk to artists and also have a look at the shops environment. Discuss your ideas of tattoo with the artist as some of them suggest what is good and bad, also the places which pains and not pain, etc.

The shop should be clean as hospitals, as tattooing should be done in a hygienic conditions with sterilized machines. If the shop isn’t clean, just run from there as fast possible! It is not only getting tattoo, also the aftercare which will be different depending on the tested methods by artists.

Before getting?

Once you have selected the tattoo and the artist with whom you want to get the tattoo. First thing do is taking proper appointment based on the time with which you are comfortable. After the time and appointment is fixed then don’t eat any heavy food like fast foods or oily food before getting tattoo. If possible clean the part of the body where you will get the tattoo (no problem if you can’t do the artist will do it for you before the tattoo process). Keep yourself relaxed and don’t think much about this as it will be over before even you think.

Take someone along with you as the process may be tiring based on the size and place of tattoo.

Finally After getting Inked!

As much as time we spend before getting a tattoo, we have to spend same or more time to take care of the tattoo. It is the most important thing to do on which the life and look of your tattoo depends. Once you are done with tattoo the artist will apply lotion and cover it with bandage or wrapping sheet.Which is to protect the tattoo from the dust and dirt which will on your way to home.

Once you reach home remove the bandage as soon as possible and clean the tattoo with cold water first to remove the lotion and secretion by the wound. Then use mild soap or lotion with lesser level of pH value. After you clean it then use a clean towel to pat dry it don’t rub it or use pressure to dry it. Then comes the time to apply lotion as per the artist’s suggestion. This process has to be done twice per day for a week or fifteen days. Keep the tattoo moisturized as much as possible, don’t let it dry up. Avoid the exposure to sun as it is the worst thing to do as it will make it dull. If you can’t avoid the suns exposure then try using the sunscreen to protect the harmful rays.
