Some days of enjoyment give us a chance of gathering in this fast paced life. To enjoy our life at fullest , we should enjoy every moment and also explore new culture and traditions. Festivals provide a chance to know the vivid cultures. Here are most amazing events or festivals of the world , everyone should enjoy these festivals.
1. Oktoberfest (GERMANY) - Third Saturday in September
This is the world's largest Volksfest (beer festival and traveling funfair). Held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, it is a 16 to 18-day folk festival running from mid or late September to the first weekend in October, with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year. During the event, large quantities of Oktoberfest Beer are consumed. Amusement rides, sidestalls, games and traditional food increases its popularity manifolds.
2. Glastonbury Festival (ENGLAND) - Mid of June
It is a five-day festival of contemporary performing arts that takes place near Pilton, Somerset. The festival hosts dance, comedy, theater, circus, cabaret, and other arts. Most people stay at Glastonbury Festival camp in a tent. The Greenfield Festival is an annual music festival held on the outskirts of the town. Films and albums recorded at Glastonbury have been released, and the festival receives extensive television and newspaper coverage. Glastonbury is the largest greenfield festival in the world.
3. Burning Man (NEVADA) - August 28 to September 5
It is an annual gathering event that takes place at Black Rock City( is the company that organizes this event ending on Labor Day) in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada.The community explores various forms of artistic creation, created in celebration for the pleasure of all participants. Participation is a key precept for the community – selfless giving of one's unique talents for the enjoyment of all is encouraged and actively reinforced. Creativity includes sculpture, building, performance, and art .
4. Rio Carnival (BRAZIL) - Feb end to March beginning
This is biggest Carnival in the world with two million people per day on the streets in Rio De Janeiro. It is a 5-day festival.A samba school is composed of a collaboration of local neighbors that want to attend carnival together, with some kind of regional, geographical common background. The typical Rio carnival parade is filled with revelers, floats (decorated platform may be on vehicle), and adornments from numerous samba schools.
5. Day of the Dead (MEXICO) - October 31 to November 2
It is particularly celebrated in Mexico where the day is a public holiday. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars called ofrendas, honoring the deceased using calaveras, aztec marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed, and visiting graves with these as gifts. The multi-day holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died.
