How to Connect With Our Inner Self

To love one’s own self is extremely important. And spending time with your Lone Self nurtures the bond between your mind, body, heart and soul. But it is not easy for everyone to go out and enjoy the moment with ourselves and with no one else. For many of us, it is a rather a hard thing to do, just this thing, especially this.

It may seem simple and an easy thing to do. Well, in the mind it does, but not at all! It’s a hardship to step out of our own and treat us with just our own freaking self.

A dread usually forms in our heart, on the mere idea of it. But just one step and the others will follow through on its own. That’s all it takes, the decisiveness and commitment to just be in the company of our own.

You don’t need to go into meditation, just simply give time to your own self.

The Travelling

There is nothing as soothing experience as travelling. You can either go for it by planning an elaborate travelling experience to a particular place all by yourself. Or you can simply enjoy it while going for other things and other places.

Go for Coffee

A nice cup of coffee can be enjoyed other than with your friends or partner or family. Treat your own self with a warm, delicious cup of coffee and if you like reading, there’s nothing as good a combination. I know it is tempting to shoot a text or call a friend to join you but be stern with yourself and just smell the aroma of darkly brewed elixir.

Movie Time

Going all alone to sit in a theatre and watch a movie, seems like a daunting task, well, it is! But there’ nothing like watching a movie in your own time, all by yourself. Indulge in some popcorn and stuff and relish the movie. Don’t shy away from it, get the reins of your time and your choices in your hand and just enjoy it.

These are some of the ways to start this thing. But this isn’t all; you can go dancing, cook a special meal just for yourself, pen a stupid song or create a ruckus in your home just by yourself.

Start from somewhere, relish in your company, understand what you are, what you want. Just be in peace and calm and connect with your heart, mind, and soul.
