Short Story: A Tea Shop

Hundreds of people come, have tea with some Osmania biscuits and go to their businesses every day. I have stayed here, in the same spot for thirty years now. I inherited the shop from my father and he did from his father and thereon. We are the best tea makers in the city and have stayed in the business since really long.

Short Story: Beautiful Stranger (a tale with a twist)

It was raining outside the window. We were sitting in our office. Our office is in a big room where everybody sits on a big table with their laptops and work together. That day we had to work till late in the night. The client wanted some changes in the project, so we were working on the edits. Everyone was happily working. My boss is a pretty lady and was with us all night long while we all worked. Supervising every action we took.

Short Story: Life of a Factory Worker

It’s a place tucked in the corner, behind the cityscape, with nine floors stacked upon each other. Every day thousands of people enter the factory, work and go back to their homes. They earn their living from it. It is a good place, comfortable place, clean and it seems the factory loves its people. But, I feel it is not what it seems.

Why You Should Attend A Literature Fest Right Now

So, I recently attended a literature festival and right to the moment I set foot inside the venue, I was contemplating just dropping this whole idea. Why? Because I considered something not labelled under “workshops” would not actually be an enriching experience. Because I need a certificate to show my college and they didn’t give me one. So, I almost decided it was not worth losing attendance on (yes, I take my attendance very seriously). But suddenly, in a moment of indecision, I just took the next bus to the venue. And it turned out to be a wonderful idea.

Short Story: Life of a Cactus

‘People trample over flowers, yet only to embrace a cactus’

Sitting on the window I saw the kids are playing in the hall, their mother asked the not to go closer to me as I have thorns. Well… those are good kids and I am not sad that she asked them to stay away from me, but the only fact which makes me sad is how did she forget that I have flowers too?

What Are 3 Things You Can't Live Without?

Okay, so I am not talking about this in a, “I can’t live without you, because if I live without you, how can I live without my heart” kind of way. Nor am I talking about this in a “You know how people say you can’t live without love? Well, OXYGEN is more important” way. But here are some things/habits which have such a monumental part in my life, that their absence would take the sunshine out of my days.
