Apple Inc has finally taken the Indian Market seriously and plans to launch their flagship retail stores on the lines of Fifth Avenue- New York in major cities of India initially as reported by The Times of India.
This would definitely add up to the delight of dedicated Apple fans in India who do not want to settle for any other brand. As per the reports, some prime brokerage firms have already started looking to hunt locations in Mumbai, NCR, Bengaluru and Pune for the first batch of larger retail stores. Apple wants to get to set up most of the stores with an area between 2,000-3,000 sq ft which would also include space for technical support as well as holding small workshops. These stores are expected to have the same design and architecture resembling the existing Apple retail outlets abroad.
Following this move, Samsung too plans to boost up its retail strategy and launch new stores having an area between 2,000-2,500 sq ft apart from the existing 1,000 sq ft outlets in India. It also plans to set up at least on flagship store of approximately 15,000 sq ft on the lines of Samsung D’Light in Seoul.
Apple and Samsung are one of the most preferred choices when it comes to Smartphone users in India who use the premium segment of mobile handsets. While we need to wait till the Apple retail stores finally arrive in the Shopping malls near you, it would be really exciting for the iPhone and Apple lovers anticipating to visit the official stores of the brand they love.
