Mobile wallet firm Paytm if gifting Silver iPad Air with
16GB of data to around 150 of its employees as a means to express gratitude for
their services. These would be given to employees who have been with Paytm for
more than 5 years across all levels, divisions and functions.

"These employees are good performers. That's why they
have stayed with us," said Amit Sinha, vice-president-business and people
at Paytm. "It makes sense to reward people who have grown with the
organization. In a startup scenario, there is pressure and people expect quick
results. Success does not come overnight and we are here for a game changing
business, which will be built over years. We want our employees to build their
stories and careers with us as we go along."
It was earlier reported by ET that Paytm has set aside a
$3-4 million kitty this year apart from the normal compensation and the
variable pay as compared to the kitty fof $1 million last year. It also plans
to expand the Employee stock options plans(ESOPS) base to 1200 employees as
compared to 600-700 last year.
Behind any successful company , there are numerous hard
working and talented people who are leaving no stone unturned to make it
successful. Recognizing their efforts and appreciating in this way is definitely
a noble gesture by Paytm and also paves a way for others to follow.
