What we are going to discuss as of now, is something that should interest you a lot if you love reading Books. Books, as we call them are our best friends, for they will help you out, anytime when you are bored. Even today, despite being so busy, everyone finds time to read a book of their own choice, and that probably is the reason why we can say that, no matter how much one gets bored of reading their text and course books, we will never grow less fond of novels and short-story collections.
With this thought, the recent years have seen increasing demands of electronically published books, or what are commonly called e-books. With the development of e-books readers like Amazon Kindle and Barnes and Noble Nook, they have kind of formed a trend. The e-books, being much more portable and easy to store, are replacing traditional books at many places today, so much that there have been some statements saying that in the years to come, they will completely replace paperback and hardbound books.
As much as I appreciate their growth, I would like to believe, however, that traditional books will never disappear completely. Belonging to probably the last generation that spent their childhood finding and searching books from libraries and bookstores, I can say that you will never get that feeling, while reading an e-book, which you get while reading the hard copy, be it while traveling on a train, or sitting in your room enjoying your coffee at night.
Well, if you are not willing to admit this, let me give you some reasons why I find these books more convincing.

A collection of books looks much more fascinating on your bookshelf then it does in the library of your mobile phone or tablet. I know that most of the time, we not only want to read a book, but we are so fond of it, that we want to preserve our copy of it, and then maybe flaunt it to everybody who comes to visit our house. That will become much more difficult to do if it is an e-book. Also, you will never have the same feeling of ownership for an e-book, as you have for the physical copy.2.
For reading an e-book, you will need to buy a device (like a mobile or tablet), get an app installed, and then pay for the book that you want to read. Although some books are available online for free, but that is not the case most of the times, and so reading e-books mean incurring extra charges.3.
Also, for reading an e-book you need to have a proper Internet connection, and you must ensure that your device does not get discharged. Since that is not possible every time, for instance, while you are traveling, such problems are bound to occur, this makes e-book a less preferred option under these special circumstances. Although it is a fact that e-book readers have better battery backups, but one cannot solely depend on it.
On a whole, though e-books have certain advantages of their own, yet the plethora of the hardbound backs is so much, that they can never ever be replaced.
