7 Types of Annoying People You Meet At The Gym

Gyms are the places we go to in order to work on our bodies and make them better. In the process, we end up meeting a lot of interesting new people that we have never encountered before. If you are someone who goes to a gym, you are either one of these people or you have encountered them for sure.

The Talker

This is the one person that you will try to avoid at all costs in the gym. If you start a conversation with his person, you can rest assured that you are not going to be going back to your workout anytime soon. They will chew your ear off with their talking and will simply not leave you alone.

The Machine Stealer

These are the worst kind of people as they will just waltz in and take the machine that you were just about to use. And after they do that unimaginable task, they will end up staying on that machine for a long amount of time hence forcing you to use some other machine for the time being.

The Lingerer

This is the person that you will lose your cool over as they will linger around the machine that you are using without asking you to alternate between sets with them. They will give you weird looks and will act as if you are wasting their time away when in fact they have never even asked you about the machine.

The Flirt

Every gym has one and these flirts definitely make you feel good about yourself. They comment about how much progress you have made and how good you are looking after a certain amount of working out. Let’s all be honest here, the flirts are our favorite parts of the gym.

The Pervert

This might be the creepy old dude who randomly stares at you when you are trying to finish your squats. Or it could be someone your own age who believes he has the right to stare at you when you work a sweat. You’re definitely going to encounter one wherever you go so don’t mind them, and do your own thing.

The Grunter

This is the person who provides entertainment to the rest of the gym with his unnecessary grunting and groaning. This person seldom picks up heavy weights but his groaning will be enough to make you believe that he is picking up the weight of the entire world.

The Unwanted Advisor

He/she is going to come up to you and is going to correct whatever exercise you just did. They will act as if they are the experts of the gym instead of the trainers and will, without meaning to, anger you in some way or another. They might also make you feel very self-conscious about your workouts. Ignore them, their advice doesn’t matter.
